Some 1,000 test centres add up to the worldwide network for g.a.s.t. tests: for TestAS, TestDaF and onSET. Test centres carry out the tests and ensure that high quality standards are maintained. They advise prospective students on the tests and also on studying in Germany.
Educational institutions that fulfil the criteria and quality standards set by g.a.s.t. can be licensed as g.a.s.t. test centres. After a successful vetting process, a licensing agreement is concluded between g.a.s.t. and the test centre. There is no claim to licensing.
Test centres receive access to comprehensive information and advertising material free of charge, which they can use to inform interested parties about the tests and, if applicable, about language and preparation courses.
g.a.s.t. offers an increasing number of examination dates worldwide for the digital TestAS each year. Licensed test centres can register for the examination dates and determine the number of available examination places via a protected access to the test centre portal. In the test centre portal, you will find all the functions and information for preparing and conducting the examination.
g.a.s.t. offers several examination dates worldwide for the paper-based TestAS each year. Licensed test centres can register for the examination dates and determine the number of available examination places via a protected access to the test centre portal. In the test centre portal, you will find all the functions and information for preparing and conducting the examination.
TestAS participants register online with g.a.s.t. for the TestAS dates that have been activated by the test centres in their portals. Payment is made online in the g.a.s.t. participant portal. Participants in China, Vietnam and India go through the APS procedure for TestAS.
To ensure the quality of TestAS, unannounced inspections are carried out on test days. The inspectors evaluate the entire examination process. After the examination, the implementation is evaluated in a joint review with the examination officers of the test centre. This initiates a quality development process. The test centre then receives a written report from g.a.s.t.
The licence covers all g.a.s.t. examinations and is free of charge.
