TestAS (Test for Academic Studies) is an aptitude test for international students wishing to study at a German university. It measures general and subject-related abilities and serves as a supplementary qualification to international school or university degrees.
Many German universities use the TestAS in their admission processes. A good TestAS result can increase your prospects of admission at the university of your choice, as it demonstrates your academic abilities and potential. In some cases, a TestAS result is even a requirement for application. Please check the websites of the universities you are interested in for more information.
TestAS consists of two parts: a Core Test (paper-based TestAS) or Core Module (digital TestAS), which measures general cognitive abilities, and a Subject Module tailored to the chosen field of study. The Subject Module measures whether you can adapt to the ways of thinking and working in the subject areas and whether you have application and transfer skills. To prepare for the test, we recommend to use our information and material for the digital and paper-based TestAS.
Choose a suitable TestAS date at a test centre of your choice in Germany or worldwide.
